Kazakhstan – Bank CenterCredit reports profit of 2.0 bln KZT (10.5 mln EUR) for 1Q-3Q 2012


On 14 November the commercial bank Bank CenterCredit ("Банк ЦентрКредит" АҚ) published consolidated, unaudited results for 3Q 2012.  Highlights (1 EUR = 191.8150 KZT at time of writing):

Income Statement:

·   Interest income: 55.161 bln KZT in 1Q-3Q 2012, down from 65.682 bln KZT in the year-earlier period.
·   Interest expense: 41.089 bln KZT in 1Q-3Q 2012, down from 46.943 bln KZT in the year-earlier period.
·   Net interest income before provision for impaired assets: 14.072 bln KZT in 1Q-3Q 2012, down from 18.739 bln KZT during the year-earlier period.
·     Provision for impairment losses on interest-bearing assets: 7.877 bln KZT in 1Q-3Q 2012, less than half the figure of 16.114 bln KZT for the year-earlier period.
·     Net interest income: 6.195 bln KZT in 1Q-3Q 2012, more than doubled from the value of 2.625 bln KZT for the year-earlier period.
·     Net profit: 2.018 bln KZT (€ 10.52 mln) in 1Q-3Q 2012, more than double the result of 0.925 bln KZT in the year-earlier period.

Balance Sheet:

·  At 30 September 2012 total assets stood at 1,095.117 bln KZT, a slight increase from the figure of 1.081.917 bln KZT registered for 31 December 2011.
·    At 30 September 2012 the total of loans to customers and banks stood at 781.877 bln KZT, up slightly from 764.806 bln KZT at 31 December 2011.
·    At 30 September 2012 the total of liabilities due to customers and banks stood at 795.041 bln KZT, up from 727.334 bln KZT at 31 December 2011.
